Corona merupakan  Virus yang sangat kecil yang pertama kali di temukan di Negara cina yaitu di Wuhan. Asal mula penyebaran virus ini  melalui  hewan akan tetapi lebih jauh saat ini penyebaran virus ini bisa melalui  kontak fisik.

Sejauh ini, Nusa Tenggara Barat sudah terindikasi dengan Virus Corona ini  yaitu 9 orang 8 diantaranya PDP (Pasien Dalam Pantaun) dan 1 di antaranya masuk ODP (Orag Dalam Pantauan), bahkan Juru bicara pemerintah untuk penanganan COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto memberikan keterangan pers di Kantor Presiden  di Jakarta pada hari  Jumat tanggal 13 maret 2020 “Memuncak Drastis: 19 Penderita Corona di Indonesia Meninggal Dunia[1], hal ini menjadikan Negara Indonesia sangat takut bahkan terus melakukan berbagai cara untuk melakukan pencegahan agar korban tidak bertabah.

Desa Batulayar merupaka daerah pariwisata yang secara dimana banyak masyarakat yang tinggal di daerah batulayar bekerja sebagai pegawai hotel dan pejual asongan. Maka dari itu pada tanggal 20 maret 2020 Kepala Desa Batulayar melakukan Sosialisasi Tentang Pencegahan Virus  corona (COVID-19), tidak haya itu dampak konkrit diDesa Batulayar ini yaitu pemerintah langsung membuat westafel di samping gerbang masuk kantor desa, hal ini dimaksudkan apabila  tamu yang ingin berkunjung ke kantor desa agara mencuci tangan terlebih dahaulu.

Sosialisasi ini dilaksanakan oleh Pemerintah Desa Batulayar dengan bekerja sama dengan Pemerintah Kecamatan Batulayar, Puskesmas Meninting, Kapolsek Senggigi dan Kodim 1606 Gunung Sari Batulayar. Berkat diadakannya sosialisais ini menjadi titik terang bagi masyarakat yang kurag tau informasi dari tehnologi.

Kepala Puskesmas Meninting menyampaiakan himbauannya agar masyarakat setempat bias lebih apik lagi dalam melakukan pola hidup yang sehat, menjaga makanan agara tetap menjaga makana bergizi  seimbang, mencuci tangan secara berkala, menjaga jarak dengan lawan bicara apabila lawan bicara sakit.

Pada kesempatan itu juga Kepala Desa Batulayar menyampaikan harapannya terbesanya semoga masyarakat desa batulayar tidak terjngkit dengan virus berbahaya ini.
