Penutur: Ibu Sri Izzati, Kaukus Perempuan Penimbung Mempesona, Desa Penimbung, Lobar, NTB.

Sebelum adanya Power Up, saya tidak pernah terlibat dalam kegiatan apapun yang menyangkut perencanaan pembangunan desa. Saya juga tidak pernah melihat adanya kegiatan perempuan, dan tidak tahu kegiatan perempuan yang ada di desa saya. Kalau pun ada perempuan, hanya satu-dua orang saja yang terlibat. Di Desa saya, hanya laki-laki yang duduk di posisi starategis.

Pada tanggal 9 Juni 2019 terbentuk kelompok perempuan yang dinamakan kaukus perempuan. Saya terpilih menjadi Ketua kaukus. Saya sangat senang dengan terbentuknya kelompok perempuan ini. Karena saya merasakan perubahannya.

Melalui kelompok perempuan ini, saya mulai terlibat dalam beragam kegiatan, termasuk perencanaan pembangunan desa. Saya bertemu dengan banyak perempuan-perempuan terpinggirkan, atau mereka yang tidak pernah berkecimpung maupun terlibat dalam kegiatan dan perencanaan pembangunan desa. Saya mengikuti pelatihan gender dan penganggaran, yang membuat saya memahami regulasi perencanaan pembangunan desa secara menyeluruh. Sekarang, saya sering diundang untuk mengikuti pertemuan di kantor Desa Penimbung.

Dengan menjadi Ketua kaukus, saya mengajak perempuan-perempuan lain untuk ikut aktif dalam kegiatan desa, mengubah mindset mereka bahwa perempuan juga bisa mejadi orang berpengaruh, dan terlibat dalam proses pembangunan desa. Dengan demikian perempuan bisa menduduki posisi strategis. Melihat perubahan yang dialami kelompok perempuan Desa Penimbung, masyarakat dan khususnya pemerintahan desa menjadi lebih percaya dan mulai melibatkan kami. Pemdes percaya bahwa kami mampu untuk menjadi salah satu aktor yang bisa memajukan desa.

Sekarang saya menjadi Bendahara BUMDES. Bahkan salah seorang anggota kaukus diberi tanggung jawab sebagai Direktur BUMDES. Ada kebanggaan yang saya rasakan. Partisipasi perempuan di desa saya sangat luar biasa. Kami yang awalnya tidak tau apa-apa mengenai kegiatan maupun perencanaan pembangunan desa, sekarang bisa ikut berpartisipasi di desa, bahkan mampu sejajar dengan laki-laki. Suami saya bisa mengerti dan memberikan dukungan kepada saya untuk ikut dalam kegiatan di desa, setelah dilibatkan dalam pelatihan gender. Untuk mewakili usulan perempuan dalam penyusunan RKPDes dan Musdes tahun 2020, ada 10 anggota kaukus yang diundang. Sejak saya dan suami mengikuti pelatihan gender yang diadakan oleh Koslata dalam program Power Up ini.
