Saya anggota BPD Desa Gelangsar yang terpilih sejak akhir tahun 2018 melalui musyawarah desa. Pada saat awal terpilih, saya masih belum memahami tugas dan fungsi saya sebagai anggota BPD. Saya hanya datang ke kantor desa mengisi absen, berbincang-bincang sebentar dengan kolega, kemudian pulang. Begitu seterusnya. Hingga akhirnya program Power UP hadir di Desa Gelangsar pada Juni 2019.

Program ini mendorong pembentukan forum kelompok perempuan yang diberi nama Kaukus. Pada kegiatan ini, saya diberikan tanggung jawab menjadi Ketua Kaukus Desa Gelangsar. Kesempatan ini saya maksimalkan untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman baru melalui kegiatan-kegiatan yang difasilitasi oleh Koslata.

Beberapa perubahan yang saya alami setelah terlibat di program ini antara lain, menguatnya kesadaran saya sebagai perempuan, sekaligus wakil perempuan di BPD untuk menyuarakan hak dan aspirasi perempuan. Ini didukung oleh meningkatnya pemahaman saya terkait proses perencanaan dan penganggaran desa dan bagaimana menjaring aspirasi perempuan. Ini saya dapatkan dari pendampingan Koslata. Pemahaman ini sangat berguna dalam mendorong agar perempuan dapat berpartisipasi dalam tahapan tersebut, dan memastikan manfaat dana desa dirasakan oleh perempuan. Program ini mendukung peran dan fungsi saya sebagai anggota BPD.

Di samping itu, dari berbagai pertemuan yang diadakan Power UP, mulai dari pelatihan pembentukan Kaukus, pelatihan gender, pelatihan TIK, saya mulai meberanikan diri untuk merancang beberapa program terkait keterwakilan saya di BPD dan kebetulan saya juga sebagai ketua Kaukus perempuan yang dibentuk oleh Power UP, dengan pemahaman saya tentang gender mengajak anggota BPD yang lain untuk mengadakan rapat intern guna membahas program-program apa saja yang akan dilakukan untuk kebutuhan msayarakat dan membahas masalah-masalah atau dinamika yang terjadi di kalangan masayarakat serta mencari solusi dari permasalahan tersebut.

Saya selaku BPD juga mengalami peningkatan pemahaman terkait mekanisme penjaringan aspirasi masyarakat yang dengan memanfaatkan teknologi. Power Up mengembangkan Keran Desa yang digunakan untuk mengetahui aspirasi masyarakat. Saya mensosialisasikan adanya kaukus perempuan di desa, saya juga mensosialisasikan mekanisme umpan balik ini dengan tujuan agar masyarakat bisa memanfaatkannya, termasuk pemerintah desa dan BPD.

Perubahan signifikan yang saya rasakan setelah menjadi Ketua Kaukus sekaligus anggota BPD adalah semakin kuatnya posisi tawar saya di desa, meskipun saya anggota baru dan masih muda. Anggota BPD yang didominasi oleh laki-laki menghargai pendapat saya. Posisi tawar ini saya manfaatkan untuk mendorong dan mengawal program aspirasi Kaukus untuk tahun anggaran 2020, yang berhasil memastikan tiga usulan Kaukus terakomodir dalam RKP Desa 2020.

Saya selaku anggota BPD sekaligus menjadi perwakilan perempuan di Desa selalu berusaha memperjuangkan kepentingan dan kebutuhan masyarakat, khususnya perempuan dan kelompok terpinggirkan yang selama ini kurang mendapatkan perhatian dari Desa. Di setiap rapat pengambilan keputusan saya menjadi tokoh kunci untuk partisipasi perempuan. Langkah saya sebagai BPD selalu mengawasi berjalannya proses APBDes dan selalu mendorong tim 11 untuk memasukkan usulan usulan dari kaukus serta mengkawal dan memonitoring, saya mengadvokasi para perempuan dengan memperbanyak pertemuan untuk berdiskusi ringan-ringan saja terkait pembangunan desa.
